Tina Thomson
Tina Thomson is the Founder and President of Tina Thomson Communications (TTC), a full service boutique communications consulting group that works in collaboration with marketers of Fortune 100, 500, and 1,000 companies. Founded in 1993, TTC is based in Los Angeles and specializes in the beauty, health and wellness industries.
Ms. Thomson is the public relations strategist behind many successful global product launches, including Origins Natural Resources in the United States, Germany and Denmark, Aveda in India, Japan and Spain, The Aveda Institute in London and Berlin, and The Estée Lauder perfumery in Moscow in 1989. In 2002, TTC launched Rodan + Fields Multi-Med Therapy, which was acquired by The Estée Lauder Companies shortly after its debut in the beauty marketplace.
She currently handles promotions, publicity, and media relations projects on behalf of Aveda, Kate Somerville, Intraceuticals, Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare, Strange Invisible Perfumes, SweetSpot Labs, and Dr. Gregory Mueller, M.D.
Ms. Thomson’s corporate experience includes four years (1989-1993) with the Estée Lauder Companies in New York, which she joined as Corporate Public Relations Manager to handle a variety of assignments, including the opening of the Estée Lauder Perfumery in Moscow. In January 1990, she was appointed Global Communications Director for Origins Natural Resources, where she was responsible for worldwide public relations for the brand.
Prior to working for the Estée Lauder Companies, Inc., Ms. Thomson served two years (1985-1987) in the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., reporting to the Assistant Chief of Protocol. In 1988 she became a White House Staff Coordinator in the First Lady’s Advance Office, serving, among other assignments, as a member of the advance team in Moscow for President and Mrs. Reagan’s historic U.S./Russia Summit.
A native Californian, Ms. Thomson is a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a B.A. in Spanish and International Relations. She is married to John E. Thomson and lives in Pasadena, California with her husband and two children Katie (18) and Charlie (14).
