Pamela Ebstyne King

Pamela Ebstyne KingPam is passionate about enabling people to become all that they were created to be. She serves on the faculty in the School of Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). In these positions, she enjoys empowering and equipping people to serve as therapists, professors, and leaders in the community.

Her primary academic interests include human thriving and flourishing. Her research focuses understanding the role of personal and community factors that promote flourishing.  In addition, she writes and teaches on the role of spirituality in human development.

She received a B.A in Psychology from Stanford University and a Masters of Divinity and Ph.D. in Family Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. She was a visiting scholar under the Divinity Faculty at Cambridge University and did her postdoctoral work at the Center on Adolescence at Stanford University. Pam is a co-author of The Reciprocating Self: A Theological Perspective of Development and co-editor of the Handbook of Spiritual Development in Childhood and Adolescence. Her research has been published in Developmental Psychology, Applied Developmental Science, Journal of Early Adolescence, and The Journal of Psychology and Christianity.

Pam lives in Pasadena with her husband, Brad, and three children.
