Laura Norris
We gain perspective from our environment. Growing up without electricity in the backwoods of Maine, gave Laura an appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures in life. Moving to sunny Southern California helped her to grow into a much more cultured woman. Laura works with clients focusing on multi-generational wealth planning so that the client’s legacies are carried on both to their family members and the charities in which they believe. Her background brings a perspective as a once small town girl, now living and thriving in the big city. Laura has spent fourteen years at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and its predecessors and found it clear that different people from different walks of life have diverse priorities and needs. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) and she maps goals for people to meet their goals, however she does not believe that everybody needs a plan. But then again, not everybody needs a navigation system in their car either, but it sure is nice to have.
Laura has been with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and it’s predecessors since 1996. She graduated with a BS in Business Administration and devotes herself to preparing clients for their financial futures. Since becoming a Certified Financial Planner(tm) her goal has been to earn the trust of families by focusing on multi-generational wealth planning so that their legacies are carried on both to their family members and the charities in which they believe. Laura helps clients establish monthly cash flow for retirement and then she communicates in detail with clients about their progress toward their goals. She also regularly organizes investment related educational events for clients, and they have been very well received. Laura was born and raised in a small town in Maine; she enjoys incorporating her small town values in her work. Laura belongs to such organizations as the Dude Ranchers Association, National Association for Female Executives, Women and Co. and the Sierra Club. In true California fashion, Laura loves living in Pasadena and enjoys running at the Rose Bowl and snowboarding in the gorgeous mountains at Mammoth.
