Brad King
Brad has a passion for identifying unique ideas, centered on technology, that allow for a leveraged shift in the way people do business or live their lives. Brad has twenty years experience as a serial entrepreneur. He has launched five separate start-up companies and invested early-stage in many more. Brad launched one of the very first Internet companies in 1994 (Presence)- responsible for developing one of the first online commerce technologies. Presence folded into Idea Labs and Brad launched his second Internet venture, Net Effect, sold to Ask Jeeves in 1998. He recently sold his company iChange (an online/mobile technology platform connecting women with experts/support groups in the areas of nutrition and fitness) to Herbalife. In addition, Brad is an early-stage investor in many start-up companies. Some of these companies include eHarmony and Baidu (known as the Google of China). Separately, Brad also has a passion for film. He has produced several independent films, the last winning the Alfred P. Sloan award and invited to Sundance, Cannes and Toronto film festivals. Brad lives in Pasadena with his wife, Pam (a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary) and their three children.
